Need to borrow money? Start your request online
Start your loan request online, or first use the shortfall tool to work out the amount behind the expense. Keep the repayment structure and deadline beside your choice. Fresh Hope Financial is a loan-request service, not a lender; submitting a request does not guarantee an offer or funding.
- Base the amount on the expense
- Keep confirmed deferrals separate
- Choose whether to continue
Request an amount that addresses the actual gap
A familiar loan amount is not a reason to round up. Start with the expense you need to cover and separate it from money already available.
If a deferral is still only a possibility, compare the result with and without it. If there is no remaining gap, a new loan request may no longer serve the original purpose.
| Part of the decision | What to include |
|---|---|
| The expense | The amount needed for the bill or purchase you are trying to address. |
| Cash available for it | Money you can use without taking it from another essential commitment. |
| Confirmed amount that can wait | Only a payment change or deferral the bill provider has actually agreed to. |
| Remaining shortfall | The gap after those amounts are taken into account, not a lender-approved limit. |
Choose the repayment question before the product label
Once the amount is clear, decide which obligation you need to examine. Each route has different details to verify.
These are comparison routes, not a list of verified products available through this service. You can still open the general loan-request form without treating a route selection as an offer.
One concentrated payment
Look at the complete amount due on its repayment date and what remains afterward. The payday page focuses on that question.
A series of payments
Look at the number of payments, their dates and the total repaid. The installment page gives you a schedule-based view.
An advance you already have access to
If you mean an app feature or a credit-card cash advance, identify its actual agreement and provider. The cash-advance page separates those arrangements.
Keep the expense deadline separate from the request
Confirm when the bill must be paid
Ask whether a different date or partial payment is possible and whether it changes the cost.
Start the request if you choose to borrow
Opening or submitting the form is the start of a request, not confirmation that money is ready.
Read any actual offer
Check the provider, agreement and stated funding conditions before relying on a date.
Confirm usable funds
A response or transfer notice does not replace checking that funds are available where you need to pay the bill.
Compare usable cash with the whole repayment
Keep the expense and cash needed the same when comparing actual offers. Different repayment structures should still answer the same practical questions.
Use the written terms to compare rather than filling gaps with an assumed rate or repayment date. A calculator scenario is useful preparation, but it is not a quote.
| Question | What to compare |
|---|---|
| How much will I receive? | Net cash after any deductions, not just a headline loan amount. |
| What will I repay? | Interest, required fees and any selected add-ons over the agreement. |
| When and how much is due? | Every payment date and amount, including the largest payment. |
| How long does the obligation last? | The final due date and any conditions that can change the schedule. |
| What happens if plans change? | Prepayment rules, missed-payment consequences and the provider’s help route. |
Read the form before sending personal information
Review the privacy notice, credit authorization, electronic-consent terms and any communication permissions presented with the request. Keep the distinction between agreeing to send a request and agreeing to a later loan.
If you need to know how a credit inquiry would work, ask who performs it and at what stage. The amount tool does not establish the inquiry or reporting practices that could apply to an actual request.
- Read who may receive the information and for what purpose.
- Check how to ask questions or use any opt-out choices described.
- Keep a copy of the terms you rely on when deciding to proceed.
When you need cash, another loan is only one route
If repayment would displace essentials or depend on borrowing again, reconsider the expense and compare routes that may change the gap itself.
Choosing not to submit a request is a valid result. If you do proceed, use the amount and repayment information you have worked through rather than increasing the request because of an advertised maximum.
A bill arrangement
Ask the bill provider about a due-date change, partial payment or other arrangement. Confirm the answer and any cost before subtracting it from the shortfall.
An existing bank or credit union
Ask about its own borrowing options, requirements and terms. A familiar institution still needs to provide an offer you can review.
Support for the expense
For an essential bill, look for assistance specific to that need and location. Verify its current requirements directly; this page does not promise assistance or a referral.
Use the right route for an existing payment or a new request
For a debt you already owe, contact the lender or servicer in the agreement. Ask about the options for that payment instead of treating a new request as a repayment arrangement.
For questions about this website or a request started here, use the site contact page. Keep the date, a description of the issue and relevant non-sensitive messages available when you ask for help.
- Do not include bank login details or unnecessary personal information in a general website message.
- If a payday-loan payment is the problem, the CFPB’s repayment-help resource explains further questions and help routes.
- A lender’s response, payment arrangement or complaint outcome is separate from this service’s request form.

How the worksheet works
Remaining shortfall = expense − cash available − confirmed deferral, with a minimum of $0. A deferral is counted only because you entered it as confirmed. This arithmetic does not measure affordability, eligibility or a recommended borrowing amount.
Inputs and notes stay in this page. The worksheet does not send a loan request, connect to a bank or save personal information. Opening the separate request form is your choice.
Borrow money: your questions
Do I need to choose a loan type before opening the form?
You can open the general loan-request form. The comparison routes help you understand repayment structures; they do not establish that a particular product is available through the form.
How much should I enter in the amount tool?
Start with the expense, subtract cash available for it and any confirmed amount that can wait. The remaining shortfall is a planning figure, not personal financial advice or an approved borrowing amount.
What if an offer is for less than I requested?
Check whether it still covers the expense and whether the repayment fits. Do not assume another loan will cover the rest. You can reconsider the bill, the amount or the offer before accepting.
Can I rely on funds arriving by my bill deadline?
A request does not establish a funding time. Read any provider’s actual conditions and keep another plan until the money is available in the account or place where you need to use it.
What if the tool shows no shortfall?
Check that the available cash and deferral are real and do not leave another essential bill uncovered. If the expense is already covered, there may be no need to start a new loan request.
