Need a payday loan in Texas?

Fresh Hope Financial is a loan-request service, not the creditor or a confirmed Texas credit access business. Current Texas product and provider availability is unknown. If you are reviewing a payday-style transaction arranged by a CAB, identify both the broker's service and the underlying loan.

Credit access businesses and lenders

The Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner describes credit access businesses as obtaining credit from independent third-party lenders. In that regulated industry, the CAB is the OCCC licensee; the borrower also signs a promissory note with the lender and a separate service agreement with the CAB.

Write down both legal names. Identify who supplies the funds, who charges the arrangement fee, who receives payments and who handles a dispute. A large brand name at the top of a page may not answer those questions, and Fresh Hope's request-service role does not establish either party's authority.

Broker fees and total loan cost

The OCCC says CABs charge a fee for arranging the third-party loan, usually calculated as a percentage of the amount. Evaluate that charge alongside the creditor's interest and any other disclosed costs. A small interest figure on the note does not describe the transaction if a separate agreement adds a substantial fee.

Ask for the full dollar amount due on each date and the total paid if every payment is made as scheduled. Use the transaction's disclosed APR and cost disclosure to compare alternatives. Do not substitute a national “per $100” payday example for the actual Texas agreement.

Principal payments and remaining balance

Before choosing a single-payment or installment-style offer, ask whether a payment reduces principal or pays only charges. Request a written example of the balance after each payment, including what changes if you refinance, extend or renew.

Planning illustration only: if you receive $300 and make a $60 payment that reduces principal by zero, the principal remains $300. That arithmetic does not establish any provider's fee, lawful price or permitted renewal. It shows why the amount of a payment and the amount of debt retired are different figures.

State and local payday loan rules

The Texas State Law Library's payday guide separates statewide rules from local regulations. Some cities have additional CAB requirements. The relevant location and transaction matter; do not assume a city rule automatically covers every online offer or every resident of the surrounding county.

If a local protection is important to your decision, use the city's official material and ask the business how it applies to your agreement. This page does not provide a statewide maximum amount, fee or term because those numbers cannot be safely inferred from the CAB label alone.

Installment loans and other alternatives

A scheduled-payment loan may be a CAB-arranged transaction or a different consumer-loan product. Texas Finance Code Chapter 342 addresses consumer lending separately. Card advances and earned-wage products also need their own provider and cost review.

Compare the same usable cash amount across alternatives. Record total repayment, dates, optional products, collateral and the cost of early payoff. An account-based small loan or a negotiated bill arrangement may meet the same need, but availability and eligibility must be checked directly with the institution or creditor.

Texas license checks and loan complaints

The OCCC CAB page links its licensee search. Match the CAB's legal name, location and license information with the service agreement. For consumer questions or complaints about a business within its jurisdiction, use the OCCC complaint portal or consumer helpline at 800-538-1579.

Keep both agreements, the mandated disclosure, receipts and the full payment history. If the issue concerns the lender rather than the arranger, identify that party too so the agency can assess the appropriate route. Never treat a fee sent in advance to unlock promised funding as proof of approval.

General borrowing checklist

Confirm availability in Texas

Ask the lender whether the specific product is available at your address in Texas. A general loan label or a state-guide page does not establish availability.

Fresh Hope Financial is a loan-request service. Submitting a request does not guarantee an offer, approval or funding.

Compare the complete borrowing cost

Read APR, fees, total repayment and every due date in any actual offer. Do not infer the cost from the name of a product or from a single payment.

Check the repayment arrangement

A payday loan often has one due date, while an installment loan has multiple scheduled payments. Cash advance is a broad label; ask which repayment arrangement the lender means.

Verify the lender’s identity

Identify the lender and check the authorization relevant to the product and your location. State requirements and permitted products can differ; verify the current position before accepting an offer.

Read the form before submitting

Review the consent and privacy information, check what information is requested and ask about credit inquiries and payment collection.

Consider alternatives to borrowing

A payment arrangement, a bank or credit-union option, or trusted personal or community help may be worth exploring. Check the costs and conditions of each option before deciding.

Questions about borrowing in Texas

Is a Texas CAB necessarily the lender?

No. The OCCC describes the CAB as arranging a loan from an independent third-party lender.

Why might there be two agreements?

The promissory note documents the loan, while the credit-service agreement documents the CAB's arranging service and related charge.

Can I use a city limit for every Texas online loan?

Do not assume that. Check the city's official rule, the transaction and the business location before relying on a local protection.

Does a low interest figure mean low total cost?

No. Read CAB fees and all disclosed charges together with the underlying note and repayment schedule.

Does Fresh Hope confirm a Texas provider here?

No. Current providers, products, fees and funding times through this request service remain unknown.

Does this page confirm that a loan is available in Texas?

No. Ask the lender about the exact product and your address. This guide explains questions to check; it does not confirm product availability.

Where do I find the actual costs?

Read the amount, APR, fees, total repayment and payment schedule in the lender’s actual offer before deciding.
