Payday loans in Wyoming when you need cash

Fresh Hope Financial is a loan-request service, not a lender. Its current Wyoming providers and products have not been confirmed. Wyoming regulates payday-style post-dated-check arrangements with a short term, a specific fee formula and an extended-payment-plan route; identify the exact agreement before relying on these rules.

Post-dated-check loan terms

Wyoming's post-dated-check statute limits the ordinary arrangement to one calendar month. Statutory extended payment plans are excepted. That distinction matters: a properly arranged repayment plan is not the same as repeatedly replacing the original balance with another payday transaction.

Read the exact maturity date and put it beside your next income and essential bills. A lender's advertised maximum amount is not an affordability assessment, and it does not establish what any provider through Fresh Hope will offer. Current service availability remains unconfirmed.

Finance-charge calculation

Section 40-14-363 sets the finance-charge ceiling at the greater of $30 or 20% per month of principal. It is not a flat $30 fee for every amount, and 20% per month is not a 20% annual percentage rate.

Illustration only, not a Fresh Hope offer: on $300 for one calendar month, the 20% branch is $60, which exceeds $30. That gives a $60 ceiling for the finance-charge component and $360 principal-plus-charge arithmetic. Ask for the actual disclosed APR and repayment; do not reuse this full-month calculation for an arbitrary shorter period.

Refinancing and replacement loans

Wyoming law bars paying, refinancing or consolidating an arrangement using proceeds of another post-dated-check arrangement accepted by the same casher. The scope matters: a new application is not a repayment strategy just because it has a different document number.

Ask how much of each payment reduces principal. Keep the original agreement and a dated payment ledger so you can see whether an advertised extension changes the debt or adds another obligation. Do not assume switching websites removes the need to identify the actual legal creditor.

Loan cancellation deadline

For a covered arrangement, the statute allows no-cost rescission by 5 p.m. Mountain Time on the following business day. It requires return of the full original advance in cash or certified funds and written information about exercising that right.

Read those instructions as soon as you receive the agreement. If the decision changes, confirm where and how to return the funds and keep a receipt showing the date and time. An ordinary electronic transfer may not satisfy the stated method; obtain clear instructions rather than relying on an unconfirmed cancellation message.

Extended payment plans and deadlines

Wyoming provides an extended-payment-plan election, subject to eligibility and timing conditions, once every 12 months measured under the statute. The borrower must request the plan and sign an amendment before 5 p.m. Mountain Time on the last business day before the outstanding agreement is due.

The statute provides at least four substantially equal installments over at least 60 days and restricts additional charges while the plan is performed. Ask for the signed schedule and consequences of default. Do not wait for a missed debit to ask whether you qualified for the plan, and do not confuse it with a separate installment loan.

Wyoming lender checks and complaints

Wyoming's Division of Banking distinguishes post-dated check cashers from consumer lenders and uses NMLS for licensing. Match the legal company and relevant authority with the agreement before giving account access. A license for another type of financial service is not a substitute for identifying this transaction.

For concerns, use the Division's consumer-lending contact and complaint resources. Keep the agreement, cancellation or plan requests, receipts and bank entries. If the problem is a disputed debit, contact the bank promptly as well. Fresh Hope cannot be assumed to control a separate creditor's repayment decisions.

General borrowing checklist

Confirm availability in Wyoming

Ask the lender whether the specific product is available at your address in Wyoming. A general loan label or a state-guide page does not establish availability.

Fresh Hope Financial is a loan-request service. Submitting a request does not guarantee an offer, approval or funding.

Compare the complete borrowing cost

Read APR, fees, total repayment and every due date in any actual offer. Do not infer the cost from the name of a product or from a single payment.

Check the repayment arrangement

A payday loan often has one due date, while an installment loan has multiple scheduled payments. Cash advance is a broad label; ask which repayment arrangement the lender means.

Verify the lender’s identity

Identify the lender and check the authorization relevant to the product and your location. State requirements and permitted products can differ; verify the current position before accepting an offer.

Read the form before submitting

Review the consent and privacy information, check what information is requested and ask about credit inquiries and payment collection.

Consider alternatives to borrowing

A payment arrangement, a bank or credit-union option, or trusted personal or community help may be worth exploring. Check the costs and conditions of each option before deciding.

Questions about borrowing in Wyoming

Does Wyoming's fee formula mean every loan costs $30?

No. The ceiling uses the greater of $30 and 20% per month of principal. Obtain the actual written charge.

Can the ordinary payday term last several months?

The covered ordinary arrangement is limited to one calendar month; the statutory extended-plan exception is a separate repayment route.

Can the same casher issue a new advance to pay this one?

The statute prohibits using proceeds of another arrangement accepted by the same casher to repay, refinance or consolidate the old arrangement.

When should I ask for the extended plan?

Before 5 p.m. Mountain Time on the last business day before the due date, subject to eligibility and the required signed amendment.

Are app advances covered by the same formula?

Do not assume that. Identify the underlying product and creditor before applying the post-dated-check rules.

Does this page confirm that a loan is available in Wyoming?

No. Ask the lender about the exact product and your address. This guide explains questions to check; it does not confirm product availability.

Where do I find the actual costs?

Read the amount, APR, fees, total repayment and payment schedule in the lender’s actual offer before deciding.
